Ron Paul, 0.5% Less Repulsive From Before

Ron Paul hates women and should go to hell for that alone; Ron Paul loves gold and should be psychologically evaluated for that alone. But every so often, Ron Paul says something so damn true that I like it in spite of myself.

The four Republicans had a debate in Tampa last night:

Romney, Gingrich and Rick Santorum each argued for keeping the restrictive Cold War-era trade relations with Cuba. Only Ron Paul disagreed.

"I don't like the isolation of not talking to people," Paul said. "The Cold War is over...I think we're living in the dark ages. We can't even talk to the Cuban people. I think it's not 1962 anymore, and we don't have to use force and intimidation and overthrow of governments. I don't think that's going to work."

Ron Paul doesn't think it's 1962! Not only is it true that it's not 1962, but I also happen to agree that it's not 1962.

Seriously though, it's time to reevaluate relations with Cuba, and not only because I'd like to vacation there. It's just time already.
